How Country Draft works

Country Draft is a free country ranking game. Spin to draw a random country, then assign it to one of 8 categories: population, GDP, fresh water, land area, population density, annual tourists, life expectancy or FIFA ranking. Each category takes one country, so every pick is a trade-off.

It is a blind ranking game: you only see where your pick ranks in the world after you lock it in. Each pick scores from 100 for #1 down to 1 for last place among 120 countries, and your final score is the average of all eight.

You get 3 rerolls per game. Fill all eight slots to reveal your nation's tier, from Back to the Drawing Board to Superpower Status, then share your result or play again.

How to Play CountryDraft

CountryDraft is inspired by a viral game where you draft real countries and build your own nation, one category at a time. Every round is a blind rank — you won't know exactly how strong your pick is until it's locked in.

Press Spin to draw a random country.
Assign it to the category it's strongest in — you only get one shot per category.
Use your limited rerolls if a draw doesn't fit any open slot well.
Fill all 8 categories to reveal your nation's overall score and tier.

Your ultimate nation is scored across 8 categories:

👥 Population
How many people live in the country.

💵 GDP
The total value of everything the country produces in a year.

💧 Fresh Water Resources
How much fresh water — rivers, lakes, and groundwater — the country has each year.

🗺️ Land Area
The total size of the country's land.

🏙️ Population Density
How crowded the country is: people per square kilometer (more crowded = higher rank).

🧳 Annual Tourists
How many tourists visit the country every year.

🧬 Life Expectancy
The average number of years people live in the country.

⚽ FIFA Ranking
How the country's men's football team ranks worldwide (lower rank = better).

The higher you rank in each category, the higher your final score — build a balanced nation or gamble for a perfect draw in every slot.
